Religious Education Curriculum
Hope High School’s curriculum for Religious Education aims to help students develop knowledge and understanding of various religions, beliefs, and worldviews.
It encourages exploration of key concepts related to faith, ethics, and spirituality while promoting critical thinking and personal reflection on moral and philosophical issues. By fostering respect for diversity and different perspectives, it supports students in forming a well-rounded view of the world and their role in a multicultural society.
Religious Education (RE) develops oracy skills by encouraging students to engage in discussions, debates, and presentations on complex topics such as beliefs, values, and ethical issues. Through exploring diverse viewpoints, students learn to articulate their own thoughts clearly, listen to others' perspectives, and respond thoughtfully. This fosters critical thinking, confidence in speaking, and the ability to communicate effectively in a respectful and reasoned manner..
