"Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to know what it feels like to win and lose-it teaches you about life."

Billie Jean King

Physical Education is a subject of utter paramount to fully develop a pupil. All of the pupils irrespective of their needs have to develop an understanding of the world and all that it encompasses through physical and mental interaction, such as occurs in Physical Education. The pupils at Hope will be given adapted tasks to better suit the needs of the pupil, which it is hoped they will begin to assist in the solving of their particular issue with school sport and physical education. All pupils must learn how to accept, manage and minimise risk and while considering not only their needs but also the needs of their peers. It is designed so that the pupils can develop holistically through their, mental, physical, cognitive and social interactions with themselves, teachers, support staff and peers. Hopefully resulting in creative, adaptive, resourceful thinking young people.
