Pupils riding the wave of rapid improvement
CONGRATULATIONS to all our Year 11 students!
Our students were delighted on results day as everyone involved celebrated the continuous upwards trend in Hope High’s exam results.
Our students have been fantastic throughout their time at Hope High School and have made superb progress despite the additional challenges of the past 18 months. Incredible hard work from the students, the staff and parents has enabled each child to fulfil their potential and get the grades they deserve. We wish them all the very best for the future as they now progress onto college.
Every one of our students should feel extremely proud of their results and of the contributions they have made to the school over the past 5 years. Not only have they achieved excellent academic results they have also developed into responsible young adults ready to take the next steps in their lives. The qualities we develop in our students of resilience, kindness, determination and hard work ensure that they are all fully prepared for their future.
100% of students entered achieved pass grades (1-9) in GCSE Science (Double Award), Computer Science and Art with 94% of students passing their GCSE English Language and 89% passing their GCSE Maths. This continues Hope High’s upward trajectory, with outcomes once again exceeding all expectations. 100% of candidates entered achieved a Level 1 Pass in Functional Skills English and Maths, and 90% of candidates entered achieving a Level 2 in English and Maths.
The outstanding accomplishments continue to include the more practical/creative based subjects with students achieving a 100% pass rate in BTEC Level 1 Sport and Active Leisure and BTEC Level 2 Home Cooking Skills.
Outstanding individual successes are being celebrated at the very top end with one student achieving a minimum of a grade 4 in English, Maths and Science – a first in Hope High’s history. 13 students achieved at least 10 recognised qualifications – another record in Hope High’s history!
The impact of further developing a personalised, broader and more balanced curriculum has meant that all our Y11 leavers progress to further education with more qualifications, more confidence and better life chances.
